Similar in design to the popular Super Charger, the Octane’s twin 1 1/8-inch swept barbs stay stationary. Just push, unscrew the body, and you’re back in action.
- Hardened bullet tip resists deformation and increases penetration
- Conical tip virtually eliminates flat-surface planing
- Stationary twin 1 1/8 swept barbs hold fish tight without impeding penetration
- Dual friction ring design
Every point in the APS sports a hardened conical “bullet” tip. Bullet/conical tips eliminate the planing that sometimes occurs with traditional chisel style tips, and No Plane means Better Accuracy. Rocks? Not a problem for these tips. Each APS point features either a single or double (dual) friction ring designed to both secure the tip and body to the ferrule, as well as to prevent spin-offs when targeting larger fish.

Fish do not come off until you want them to!
Great tip for getting fish in the boat and then a quick release with a few spins of the shaft. No trying to spin a tip covered in fish slime. When you are in an area with a bunch of fish, this is the tip to get them in, released in the bucket and back in the water fast!
I have shot other tips in the past that you can twist in the fish and barbs flip, but the ring would rust and sometimes it would be a hassle to untwist. not with the octane! The rubber ring holds it place so no spinoffs. Just a all around great tip! I highly recommend trying one.
